Happy Birthday Rohin!!!

Well, it's your first birthday little boy! All of your grandparents and your aunties were on hand to celebrate. Mommy made you a blues clues cake and even wore a shirt that looked like Steve's (from the show). You had such a great time and ate cake with both of your hands, as the grandmothers looked on and encouraged you! It's hard to believe that one year has already flown by. Happy Birthday!!!!

1 Year is Around the Corner

Well Rohin, it's so hard to believe but you're almost 1 year old. It's been a very cold February, with our first major snow arriving on March 1st with about 6 inches. You couldn't play in the snow yet, but you enjoyed looking at it outside. You love to stand now and pull yourself up everything -- furniture or mommy or daddy's pants. You hold your hands up when you want to be picked up and just in the end of Feb, you started pointed at things of interest. In one case, you went with daddy to the food store and pointed up, where when daddy looked up, he saw that you were pointed to a TV with both of your pictures in it! You're such a smart little boy and so kind and sweet. You almost always have a smile on your face.

Some interesting things you like right now. Well, you love to eat fruits, like bannanas and oranges. You love wine corks for some reason and are always in the basket of wine corks that mommy and daddy save. You're still saying dada and doi-da and try to say yogi by saying "ya". You love give love bites too now that you have your teeth.

Your little brother continues to grow in mommy's tummy and is expected to arrive in another month or two! So get ready to be a big brother!

Welcome to 2009!

You're now crawling on your own and love to eat solid foods now, particularly from mommy's cereal in the morning. Your favorite show is blues clues on Noggin. And you laugh out loud when daddy flashes his credit card. Welcome to 2009 our wonderful son. We love you.

Rohin's First Xmas

Well little boy, we celebrated your first Christmas. Ammuma, grandma, Thatha, grandpa, Savitha, Sadhana, Dow mommy and daddy were all there to celebrate with you. You had a great big Christmas with so many wonderful presents. At Christmas, we also announced that you will have a little brother born this May.

Rohin will be a big brother!

Well -- it's official, mommy and daddy went over today to the doctor and found out that you are going to be a big brother! The new baby will be coming in late May and will be a _______ -- sorry -- we can't tell everyone till after Christmas!

In other news, you've been very sick this week again with an ear infection (your second one). You spent all day Saturday sleeping on daddy and then spent the last couple days at home with Ammu-ma. Santa clause is coming very soon and you've been a great little boy! All of your grandparents are coming into town to see you open your first presents.

Well -- it's been pretty amazing to see you grow this month our little boy. You have started crawling December 5th and only crawl when there is a computer nearby. You love technology -- cell phones, laptops or anything with electronics. In addition to crawling, you are now even pulling yourself up. One morning, mommy and daddy heard a noise on the baby monitor and mommy came in to find you standing in your crib grabbing the side of the crib rail and banging it back and forth. You love to commnuicate now and continue to say dada a lot! Sometimes you will whispher it and sometimes you will say it loud. You love when someone says dada back to you. You also love to eat solid food now, including broccoli and potatoes. You also love your yogurt and make grunting noises when you want more! Just tonight your daddy and you laughed so hard together. You would grunt while he was feeding you yogurt and dad would grunt back and you would laugh and he would laugh so much. You also seem to love running water and really enjoy your bath time (until we have to take you out). Mommy and daddy will soon find out if you are going to have a little brother or sister (on December 22nd). Mommy and daddy love you so much Rohin!
